How to measure your blood pressure monitors properly at home?
- Before testing, find a quiet place to rest for 5-15 minutes. Avoid eating, exercising, or bathing for 30 minutes prior to testing.
- Ensure your upper arm is not covered or pressed. Place one finger between your arm and the cuff, and two fingers between the cuff bottom and elbow.
- Sit in a chair with your back straight, legs uncrossed, and feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table, palm up, and make sure the cuff and your heart are at the same level.
- Calm down and press the Start/Stop button to begin. Stay quiet and don’t move until the testing is finished.
